🌟 Retreats · Workshops · Classes · Jams · Ceremonies · Trainings · Performances · Socials 🌟
Vocal Wilds Productions are co-created and co-facilitated by core members of the Vocal Wilds Collective—immersive experiences rooted in improvisational singing, embodied voicework, somatic presence, and collaborative artistry.
What we offer is shaped by the synergy of our collective—artists, facilitators, and expressive practitioners devoted to the art of embodied improvisation.
Our offerings are designed to open the voice, embody presence, and cultivate belonging through group singing.
Here you’ll find our current and upcoming events, each crafted to invite deep listening, creative risk-taking, and collective song.
Upcoming Offerings
WHEN: Sunday, January 11 from 3:30 - 6:30 PM
WHERE: A2 Yoga in Ann Arbor
WHO: Julie Kouyate & TatiAnah Thunberg
WHAT: After the rush of the holidays, come slow your pace and settle into sacred circle, arriving more fully into the new year and the winter season of 2026. Through a ceremony of creativity, song, and movement, we’ll gather around a living mandala we build together—an offering of beauty, intention, and contemplation. Mandalas are ephemeral works of art, shaped from shells, candles, flowers, and stones. As we weave this shared design, we will lead simple songs that we will sing together—our voices rising as the mandala takes shape beneath our hands. When it is complete, we’ll sit in contemplative stillness around it, then rise to move—circling and dancing in communion with the mandala we’ve created. Our songs will honor the arc of the season—celebrating winter’s invitation to retreat and reflect before spring’s renewal. And as our vigil draws to a close, we’ll gently unweave the mandala and surrender to rest, leaning into the deep quiet of this season.

WHERE: Private residences
WHO: Each month, a different host in our collective circle of experienced vocal improvisers we affectionally call the Supper & Sing Squad, opens their home to host and facilitate our community jam.
WHAT: Founded in 2018 by TatiAnah Thunberg and Mary Fithian, Supper & Sing has become a beloved gathering place. From September through May, we nourish one another with wholesome food, warm laughter, and the music that rises when voices meet in spontaneous creation. These evenings weave community, play, and artistry in service of strengthening our joy, resilience, and belonging.
We open the evening with a four-course whole-foods potluck feast. After the meal, we turn toward singing—a two hour open-hearted vocal improvisation jam where all levels of experience are welcome.
Each month, a different facilitator from our community guides the jam, inviting us into deep listening, playful risk-taking, embodied expression and collaborative music-making. No performance. No pressure. Just voices meeting in the wild, spontaneous moment.
